Enneagram and Conflict

To be human is to be in a relationship. Relationships entail expectations. When expectations are not met we have conflict. How do we react to frustrations and disappointments or when we do not get what we want? The Enneagram, through the Levels of Development and the Harmonic Triads, can shed light on the way we deal with our frustrations and disappointment so we can nip the conflict in the bud before it gets out of hand.

This webinar is not so much about techniques on how to resolve or manage conflicts, but on learning how to stay present when we are triggered or when we are confronted by conflict in its early stage. As Russ Hudson puts it: “How much presence can we tolerate.” Presence and self-awareness allows us to manage our emotions and not be controlled by them. This helps in engaging the other in a way that is respectful. How can I step out of my own habitual way of responding, and tune into the other I am with, and show up with them in a way that works for both of us? We hope each participant will leave the webinar with a clear idea on when it might be appropriate to use the Enneagram and how to apply in conflict situations.
