What is Spiritual Accompaniment or Spiritual Direction?

What Spiritual Accompaniment or Spiritual Direction is NOT
Spiritual accompaniment or spiritual direction is neither counseling nor therapy. It is not a venue for seeking or giving advise.
In the conduct of spiritual accompaniment or spiritual direction, a safe space is formed between God and the directee, with the spiritual companion facilitating the deepening of the religious experience.
Who can benefit from having a spiritual companion or spiritual director?
You will greatly benefit from having a spiritual director if you:
- Desire to have a deeper and more intimate relationship with God by relishing your religious experiences and sensing God’s invitation.
- Want to unpack how you sense God’s movement in your current circumstances.
- Need assistance in discerning and are at a crossroad.

ONLINE SESSIONS
All spiritual direction sessions can be done online in the comfort of your home to avoid the inconveniences of traveling far and finding a conducive space.
FEES AND PAYMENT
The spiritual direction fee is PHP 800 (for Filipinos) or USD 25 (for non-Filipinos) per session which is payable via bank deposit or PayPal.

Find a Spiritual Director/Companion Guide
Lita Quimson-Feliciano is the Executive Director of On The Third Day Renewal and Formation Center, based in the Philippines, which she founded in 2012.
Lita holds a Master’s Degree in Ministry, majoring in Spiritual Formation, from the Alliance Graduate Seminary in Quezon City, Philippines, and studied European Studies at London Metropolitan University.
Her training in spiritual direction first began at the Center for Ignatian Spirituality in the Ateneo De Manila University. She continued to pursue her credentials as a Spiritual Director at the Center Quest School for Spiritual Directors in California. Finally, she went on to study and acquire the skills of supervising spiritual directors through the Kardia Heart Wisdom Course at Kardia Formation in Melbourne, Australia.

Jac has been called to be a Companion. She was a College Guidance Counselor and a Lecturer at La Consolacion College, Manila, for 8 years and a reading companion for children with reading challenges/dyslexia.
With a deep passion for Ignatian spirituality, Jac has guided individuals through profound spiritual journeys. Her sessions are known for integrating creative methods like art, movement, and music to enhance the retreat experience. Jac’s approach fosters a sacred and playful space where participants can encounter God in everyday moments as who they are. Jac has been trained in retreat-giving and spiritual direction at the Center for Ignatian Spirituality in Ateneo de Manila University, and giving of the Full Spiritual Exercises [SpEx] at the Kardia Formation in Australia.
After years of experience accompanying others, much prayer and discernment, she embraced the call to journey with people who identify with Trauma and the Inner Child as these themes constantly present themselves in her sessions and daily encounters with people. Jac is a Trauma-Informed Spiritual Director trained and certified by the University of Redlands. Her experience in giving the Spiritual Exercises complements her trauma-informed approach, providing a holistic and empathetic space to be seen and heard, and to be who they really are as God sees them.
Having a second lease of life after surviving a pulmonary embolism, she is now committed to accompanying other people in their spiritual journey and is managing the programs of OTTD.
Our Support
Joey Galvez is a pioneer in the field of Enneagram studies in the Philippines, bringing over two decades of experience in psycho-spiritual formation, education, and spiritual direction. As of June 2025, he holds the distinction of being the first and only Filipino Professional Member of the International Enneagram Association (IEA) and the first certified Enneagram Teacher of the Enneagram Institute in the country.
Joey trained under Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson, two of the foremost authorities in Enneagram development. His commitment to deepening conscious self-awareness and spiritual integration led him to complete several intensive formation programs:
- Certified Professional Enneagram Teacher (March 2024), through the Enneagram Teacher Certification Training with Russ Hudson, Jessica Dibb, and Gayle Scott via The Shift Network
- Certified Graduate of The Year-Long Enneagram Certification Program in Conscious Living (2022) with Russ Hudson and Jessica Dibb
- Formation in the Spiritual Exercises: Completed Grace Upon Grace, a year-long program for spiritual directors through Kardia Formation (Australia), and CIS Modules 2–4 on giving the Spiritual Exercises (2019)
Joey currently serves as a Program Associate for Enneagram Trainings at the Emmaus Center for Psycho-Spiritual Formation and Accompaniment, and as an Enneagram resource person for On The Third Day (OTTD), a lay institute for renewal and spiritual formation.
Since 2004, Joey has been passionately teaching the Enneagram to a wide range of audiences—including public school educators, religious congregations, seminarians, priests, formators, and lay leaders—equipping them with tools for inner awareness, relational healing, and spiritual maturity.
A seasoned spiritual director, Joey continues to lead both basic and advanced Enneagram courses, integrating psychology and spirituality to support individuals and communities in their inner journey.
Rani spent more than 10 years in the ministry of psycho-spiritual inner healing and has facilitated retreats and provided spiritual accompaniment and direction for people from various walks of life—including youths, seminarians, and healthcare professionals.
Currently, she serves as a group facilitator in Companions of the Redeemer, supporting women who wish to engage in companioning ministry.
After graduating as a spiritual director in April 2024, her desire to introduce contemplative living to a wider audience, particularly Filipinos, intensified. She often questioned why this way of life was primarily limited to, taught within, and accessible only to those affiliated with religious institutions. This realization fueled her mission to make contemplative practices more widely available to Filipinos.
